Ultrasound leg veins
Thanks to sonography of your leg veins, we can rule out fresh and old thromboses and diagnose varicose veins.
- Your legs must be freely accessible.
- You can keep your socks on.
- The examination takes about 10 minutes.

Thanks to sonography of your leg veins, we can rule out fresh and old thromboses and diagnose varicose veins.
During this examination, we examine and assess the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, kidneys, the large vessels of the abdominal cavity, the spleen and the lower abdominal organs.
We use ultrasound to examine and assess the lymph nodes in your neck and the thyroid gland.
Using ultrasound waves, we can view and assess your heart valves and take a closer look at the performance of the heart muscle. We can also assess the size of the heart and regional differences in pumping behavior.
We use an ultrasound magnifying glass to take a closer look at your neck vessel wall. This allows us to detect possible preliminary stages of vascular calcification and treat them in good time. We can also better assess the risk of elevated cholesterol levels.
A new application of ultrasound is the assessment of the lungs, pleura and ribs. This allows us to assess water accumulations (effusions) in the pleura, organized pneumonia, wall-adhering lung ulcers and even rib fractures. Ultrasound examination is an excellent alternative to X-ray examination.
The MEDIZINICUM Group also has its own modern laboratory in which we can carry out specific and targeted examinations quickly, reliably and without unnecessary waiting times - for precise diagnostics and prompt, individual care. Your health is our concern!
What is the capacity of your lungs? How high is the air resistance in the bronchial tubes? What is your breathing volume? We will find out together with the help of spirometry. All you have to do is follow our instructions in e We use this examination for:
During the examination, you will be seated and we will place a small clamp on your nose. You then take the device in your hands and breathe into it several times according to our instructions. The examination takes about five minutes.
Measurement of the oxygen concentration in the vessel to assess the oxygen supply at rest and under stress
Vaccinations are among the most important and effective preventive measures in medicine. They are so crucial because they help to stimulate the immune system to produce antibodies by weakening the infection and thus become a weapon against the real infection. In addition, a high vaccination rate ensures that an infection does not spread uncontrollably in the population.
Please stay for about 15 minutes after the vaccination
Skin cancer screening is an important part of preventive medicine. As part of this examination, conspicuous skin changes - including malignant tumors such as malignant melanoma - can be detected at an early stage and treated accordingly. Regular skin checks can make a decisive contribution to preventing advanced disease progression.
A blood pressure measurement provides an initial indication of your cardiovascular risk. With a 24-hour blood pressure profile, we record your values in everyday life and at night - this allows us to reliably detect high blood pressure and fluctuations.
The resting ECG shows the electrical activity of the heart in a relaxed state. During exercise ECG (bicycle ergometry), we check how the heart and circulation react during physical exertion - important for clarifying circulatory disorders or cardiac arrhythmia.
These measurements provide information about your body weight in relation to your height as well as your fat distribution. Both values are important factors in assessing your personal health risk, for example for cardiovascular disease or diabetes.
The ankle-arm index compares the blood pressure in the arms and legs. A low value can indicate circulatory disorders (peripheral arterial occlusive disease, "intermittent claudication") - an important early indicator of vascular disease.
For patients who are unable to visit our practice for health reasons, we offer home visits by qualified practice assistants (VERAH / NäPA). This allows you to receive continuous and professional medical care in your familiar surroundings - in close coordination with your attending physician.
During the home visit, we can perform the following services as required:
