The most common diseases of our time develop insidiously and can be detected well in the preliminary or early stages and treated in time. These include in particular cardiovascular diseases, lipometabolic disorders, kidney diseases and diabetes (type II). Take the time for regular preventive medical check-ups.

Ultrasound examination (sonography) is a modern, non-invasive procedure for imaging various regions of the body. The ultrasound device generates harmless, inaudible ultrasound waves which are reflected by the organs and enable imaging. Organs, soft tissues and vessels are made visible on a screen, taking into account the blood flow.
In our practice we offer the following sonographic examinations for an accurate diagnosis of the different body regions:

SONOGRAPHY
We use ultrasound diagnostics to detect diseases and check their progress. The practice has a high-performance ultrasound machine and a digital ultrasound laboratory as an optimal technical basis. I have acquired the necessary additional qualifications for all internal ultrasound techniques and I am a member of the German Society for Ultrasound in Medicine (DEGUM).

COLOUR DUPLEX SONOGRAPHY
A special technique can be used to determine the blood flow in vessels and the perfusion of tissue. In this way, possible vascular constrictions and occlusions of the arteries supplying the brain (carotid arteries), the arteries of the arms and legs, the abdominal arteries (aorta, renal and hepatic arteries, intestinal arteries) as well as the veins (thrombosis and varicose vein diagnostics) can be detected.

DOPPLER SONOGRAPHY
Doppler sonography is a special ultrasound examination that can measure the local blood flow in the legs and the vessels supplying the brain. It makes it possible to determine the direction of flow and the speed of the blood in the blood vessels. This makes it possible to detect vascular stenoses and vascular injuries, among other things. Doppler sonography, also known as duplex sonography, is a painless diagnostic method that does not require much effort.

ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY
Ultrasound diagnostics of the heart is called colour Doppler echocardiography because the blood flow in the heart is shown in colour in a moving image and the anatomy as well as the function of the heart is made visible from the outside via the chest. In this way, the heart chambers, the atria, the heart valves and the pericardium can be examined and assessed.

An ECG, or electrocardiogram, is used to diagnose heart disease, cardiac arrhythmias and cardiovascular disease, as well as to measure blood pressure.
During the examination, electrodes are attached to the chest, which measure and record the activity of the heart muscles. The measurement takes only a few minutes with the classic ECG and takes place in our practice.

Long-term ECG
In order to also be able to record irregularly occurring complaints, we offer a long-term ECG. Here, the electrodes are worn over a period of one day in everyday situations.

Stress ECG (ergometry)
Complaints that occur primarily under stress are examined with the help of a stress ECG under physical stress at different time intervals.

A cuff attached to your upper arm registers your blood pressure day and night. This allows blood pressure values to be assessed more reliably.

Since some diseases cannot be detected during a physical examination, blood testing by laboratory diagnosis helps to determine targeted therapies in a differentiated manner. The blood samples are prepared and analysed on the same day they are taken in an outsourced, state-of-the-art practice laboratory.

With this test we determine the current capacity (lung volumes) and the mechanics of the lungs as well as the permeability of the bronchial tubes.

A small electronic recording device, which is put on in the afternoon in the practice or late in the evening by yourself, continuously records breathing, heart rate, oxygen saturation of the blood and body position. In this way, harmless snoring can be distinguished from dangerous breathing disorders that can trigger daytime sleepiness, high blood pressure and heart disease.
