Special neurological ultrasound diagnostics

  • Color duplex sonography head and neck: examination of the cervical and cerebral arteries with corresponding consultation in the event of pathological findings (e.g. stenoses) for stroke prevention (see above)
  • Orbital ultrasound: assessment of circulatory-related visual disturbances or headaches caused by increased cerebrospinal fluid pressure (idiopathic intracranial hypertension)
  • Brain tissue sonography: diagnosis of movement disorders (e.g. Parkinson's disease)
  • Nerve sonography: examination for bottleneck syndromes (e.g. carpal tunnel syndrome)

Prevention consultations
Early detection – risk analysis – targeted prevention

Stroke prevention
During our stroke prevention consultation, we offer you comprehensive care and advice to determine your individual risk of stroke and take preventive measures if necessary. We help you protect your health by identifying and treating your risk factors at an early stage.
The following examination steps are carried out:
  • Detailed medical history
  • Risk factor analysis, including blood tests and cardiovascular examinations if necessary
  • Color duplex sonography of the cerebral arteries
  • Brain imaging (if appropriate and desired)
What you should bring with you
  • Previous findings (MRI/CT images on CD/code, laboratory values from the last 1–2 years)
  • Current medication plan

Prevention of cognitive impairment
During our brain performance prevention consultation, we focus on your brain health. We want to take active measures before the first signs of memory or concentration problems become apparent in everyday life—so that you can remain mentally fit and independent for as long as possible.
We offer you a structured, scientifically based assessment of your current brain performance profile and your individual risk constellation.

The following examination steps are performed:

  • Detailed medical history
  • brain performance testing
  • risk factor analysis
  • Brain imaging (if appropriate and desired)
What you should bring with you

  • Previous findings (MRI/CT images on CD/code, laboratory values from the last 1–2 years)
  • Current medication plan
  • Glasses/hearing aid (if applicable)
  • A trusted companion (very helpful!)
