All of the centres in our hospital cooperate with radiology, as it often provides decisive building blocks in the clarification and diagnosis of unclear disease patterns.
The radiology department can offer you the complete range of conventional (so-called native) X-ray diagnostics, but also the full spectrum of the latest computer tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). Our radiological colleagues at Stephansplatz Hamburg are also interventionally therapeutically active, especially when a periradicular infiltration therapy (PRT) for degenerative spinal diseases is performed in cooperation with our orthopaedics department.
What is special is that all examinations can be carried out at short notice and even for MRT examinations there are never long waiting times. Once the examination has been carried out, the findings will be discussed with you immediately and you do not have to wait for the written result first. The findings are presented to the colleagues at MEDIZINICUM Hamburg promptly on the monitor, so that the resulting therapeutic consequences can be drawn without delay.
