Focus Gesundheit named several doctors from MEDIZINICUM Hamburg among Germany's top physicians. The news magazine recognised the best doctors with their outstanding medical services in the comprehensive study.
The TOP-Medicine awards are subdivided according to the respective specialties of the doctors. In the MEDIZNICUM, the following were awarded:

- Prof. Dr. med. J. Aldenhoff - Department of Psychiatry & Psychotherapy / Depression
- Diedrich-W. Haesen, MD - Department of Foot Surgery
- Prof. Dr. med. F. Ulrich Beil - Department of Endocrinology / Lipid Metabolism
- Prof. Dr. med. F. Jänicke - Department of Gynaecology
- the MEDIZINICUM as a private clinic - Department of Foot Surgery
The evaluation is based on details of treatment services, reputation, qualifications, scientific commitment and service offerings. The data is collected in a survey and on the basis of publicly available information. Only about every one hundredth doctor receives the TOP Physician award: around 4,200 doctors out of more than 400,000 medical professionals were included in the list.
